Cindy Cohen Owner/President:
I have always had a passion for driving. As a young child, I can remember wanting to learn how to drive anything and everything. I was mostly intrigued by motorcycles, sports cars, and boats. You name it, and I have driven it. A few years ago, I was asked by a friend to teach her daughter to drive. My friend was too scared to teach her daughter. After training her daughter to drive, I realized, I wanted to teach people how to become safe and responsible drivers. I started my company with one car and have grown to a fleet of vehicles. Each day there are different challenges, but they are worth every minute of it.
I love when I see my students mastering the techniques of driving.

Lenny has lived in Pittsburgh for the vast majority of his life. He is a long-time owner of Nu Life Cleaners in Squirrel Hill, and he figured that since he had been a back seat driver all of his life, why not get paid for it. Lenny went through all of his prerequisites in order to obtain his instructor’s license, and now he is a proud member of our team.

Audrey was born and raised in Pittsburgh, and now calls Collier Township her home, where she lives with her husband, two children, and their furry dependent, Sidney.
As a graduate of Carlow College (University), Audrey spent more than 25 years working in the graphic design industry, mainly as a Print Production Manager. After a layoff in 2002, Audrey continued to work freelance while raising her family and being a caregiver for her ill mother. During this time, she attended a fused glass class, bought her own kiln, and began attending shows and selling her work. After working from home for several years, Audrey spent a lot of time looking for a flexible opportunity to supplement her finances and her sanity!
When attending a gathering one weekend, a friend introduced Audrey to Cindy Cohen after she drove up in her easily recognizable, cobalt blue car with bright pink lettering! During a friendly conversation, the chatting turned into a discussion about becoming a student instructor. The position was a perfect fit for Audrey’s schedule and she began the training program immediately. She now enjoys a regular position with Cindy Cohen and enjoys the new adventure of every day.
“I enjoy meeting all of my students and helping them achieve their driving goals. I rarely came home from working in corporate America feeling like I made a difference to anything except the bottom line. Now, I can see the difference I make with every student, every day. I find the position rewarding and a great way to help others.”
“Freddie,” as we call him, has been a professional driver in the Pittsburgh area for more than 12 years, including nearly a decade as a taxi driver and two years with FedEx, where he regularly trained new drivers. In his time as a cab driver, Freddie had more than 40,000 fares without an accident or a complaint. In that time, he encountered every possible kind of road condition and driving hazard, and learned from each one. Now, as a licensed instructor, Freddie’s goal is to pass that knowledge on to his students.
Many new drivers are nervous and hesitant, but this can be overcome by exercising awareness and anticipation. These are key principles to skilled driving, and Freddie makes this central to each lesson.
Freddie loves to teach his students the valuable skill of driving. In his time off, he drives for a ride-share and enjoys playing music. He lives in Manchester in Pittsburgh’s North Side with his wife, Amanda, and daughter, Amelia.
Tim moved back to his hometown of Pittsburgh some years ago from Los Angeles, CA, where he was self-employed for more than 20 years in a commercial service business utilizing vans and trucks. He previously managed a high-value fine art handling business for four years in L.A., where he supervised the driving program, which required the drivers to maintain critical driving skills and accident avoidance to protect the artwork, which was often fragile. Tim really loves his job, and he loves teaching driving skills to his students, and believes that relaxation combined with diligent awareness helps the student to achieve competent driving skills with great enjoyment. Tim employs much effort to help new drivers reduce their nervousness and anxiety quickly, while devoting the lesson time to tried and true methods of instruction. Tim previously worked for Rogers Driving School.
Steve was a Certified PennDOT third-party testing examiner through Pittsburgh Job Corps and has a CDL class B license.
